Issue Position

As a parent of 3 children and Educator, I believe education is a vital component to the future of Delaware. We must all strive for excellence in education. I will:
. Support legislation which ensures a thriving learning environment for children at all levels of learning abilities.
. Advocate for top notched public schools and the expansion of the SEED program so that all Delaware students can be competitive in today's tough job market.
. Increase teaching resources and support to help retain and recruit quality educators while providing sufficient space for students to learn.
. Remain focused on the child, to improve student's achievement, and promote parental support/involvement.
. Promote programs that support and meet the needs of working families (such as after school needs, tutoring, and health and nutritional support for families).
